This secluded tract adjoins Sugar Creek and includes mature forest on the bluffs and natural regeneration of wildlife habitat in the floodplain. Road access is by a dirt road, Sugar Creek Bottom Road. Access during periods of wet weather requires a four-wheel drive vehicle and some courage. The mature timber was last logged over fifteen years ago under the supervision of a professional forester.

The portion of the land that is largely in the flood plain is in the Conservation Reserve Enhanced Program (CREP), with a perpetual Conservation Easement granted to the Schuyler County Soil and Water Conservation District. The conservation plan includes reforestation of hardwoods on higher elevation in the flood plain, with natural wildlife habitat regeneration on the lower elevations. See links below for more information.
